This is a deposit for the Cinch making class at the Australian Western Makers Expo (12-14th September). This deposit is required to secure your spot and is non - refundable, but fully transferable. If you are no longer able to make it you may arrange someone else to take your position.
The remaining balance of $150 will be due before the 1st of August to secure your place.
Class will be held on the 13th of September, Starting at 9.30 am
You will get to make your own plain 30” straight cinch in either “Natural with Brown center bar/triangles ” or “brown with a sandstone center bar/triangles”.
All mohair and hardware will be locally sourced, and a simple loom set at 30” will be provided for you, along with in person instruction and guidance.
You will learn:
- Basic function and use of a mohair cinch
- Basic cleaning and management of a mohair cinch
- How to tie larks head knots and keep tension on your body strings
- how to tie off your strings
- how to weave a center bar and insert D rings
- how to weave a traditional triangle either side of your center bars.
- how to finish and bury your decorative weave.
